Chapter Scholarship Opportunities

AFP Brandywine Chapter offers several scholarship opportunities to facilitate the involvement of fundraising professionals in our organization.

Membership Scholarship:
Scholarship for the national portion (ranges between $75 and $250) of the annual dues for one year for eligible individuals. Each recipient is asked to provide the $60 local chapter dues. The scholarship applications are due January 1, May 1, and September 1. Download a copy of the Membership Scholarship Application.

International Conference Scholarship (Chamberlain Scholarship):
The Chamberlain Scholarship is awarded to one current member of AFP who has never attended a National Conference. The application deadline is October 18, 2013.

The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy annually awards one Chamberlain Scholarship to each AFP chapter for an individual to attend the prestigious AFP International Conference. The scholarship is named for Ralph Chamberlain, who was instrumental in starting the Association of Fundraising Professionals organization.

The Chamberlain Scholarship is designed to help individuals serving nonprofit organizations develop their knowledge and skill in fundraising.  The scholarship supports attendance at the AFP International Conference; a place to gain insight from industry and world leaders, and a chance to learn breakthrough fundraising tactics.

The 2013 Conference will be held in San Diego California on April 7- 9, 2013. The Chamberlain Scholarship provided by the AFP Foundation covers the conference registration fee ($595) for the recipient (minus a nominal $10 scholarship registration fee). The AFP Brandywine Chapter will provide an additional $500 to help defray the expenses of travel and accommodations.  Download a copy of the application.

Philanthropy Day Scholarship:
Scholarship for the full day program. Membership in AFP is not required. Download a copy of the Philanthropy Day Scholarship Application.

Program Scholarship:
Scholarship to pay for three monthly programs throughout the year. Applicants must be AFP members. Application deadline is December 1. Download a copy of the Program Scholarship Application.

CFRE Survey Course Scholarship:
Scholarship for senior member to receive funds that cover the cost of the Survey in Fundraising course. Application deadline is January 1.

CFRE Examination Fee Scholarship:
Scholarship for senior members to receive funds that cover the fee for the CFRE test.
